GUWAHATI, India, July 29 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on June 30:
1. Heard learned counsel Mr. S. Chauhan for the writ petitioner Angad Chauhan, who has filed this writ petition so that he may be allowed to appear for the physical test examination and physical eligibility examination proposed to be held in this month.
2. It is submitted that the petitioner has cleared his CBE test for the post of Constable in the Central Armed Police Forces.
3. Ms. K. Phukan, learned CGC has submitted that the dates to hold the proposed physical test examination and physical eligibility test have not been finalized. The petitioner has already been allowed to sit in the written test and the CBE, which he has already cleared. So, at this juncture, no interim order may be passed.
4. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he may not be allowed to appear in the PET and PST as earlier, in the year 2024, he was barred from appearing in any examination as the petitioner had filled up dyak application forms to appear as OBC category candidate and EBC category candidate for the same examination, which is debarred by the authority. He was barred for three years.
5. On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned CGC that the petitioner automatically will be called to appear for PST and PET examination. Thus, at this stage, notice of motion may be issued to all the respondents.
6. Petitioner to take steps to issue notice to all the respondents, returnable on 16.07.2025.
7. Extra copies of the petition to be furnished within two working days.
8. List accordingly.
