India, Dec. 1 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

A grand rangoli competition was held at Kashi's famous Assi Ghat on Tuesday as part of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0. More than 150 students enthusiastically participated in this special event, expressing the rich heritage of Kashi and Tamil culture through color. The vibrant colors at the ghat from early morning attracted both locals and tourists from India and abroad.

Participants in the competition creatively captured the temple architecture, folk art, mythology, and cultural symbols of Kashi and Tamil Nadu. Some painted the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, while others presented stunning artwork centered on the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The confluence of both cultures was clearly visible in these rangolis. Several foreign guests also attended the event and learned from the artists about their works and Indian cultural traditions.

This grand Rangoli competition was organized by BHU. The entire program was conducted and supervised by Nodal Officer Professor Anchal Srivastava, Gyanendra Kumar, and Dr. Lalit Mohan (Department of Painting). Organizing committee members encouraged participants, stating that such events are an important way to connect young people with their roots and Indian art traditions.

This day-long rangoli competition at Assi Ghat not only exemplified cultural integration but also promoted the objective of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 to various parts of the country. At the end of the competition, outstanding performers were honored, while the audience applauded the unique artistic presentation.
