Under the Scheme of "Capacity Building for Service Providers" (CBSP), Ministry of Tourism conducts training programmes for the tourism Stakeholders across the country including urban, rural and tribal areas. The outcome of these trainings includes placements by institutes, self employment and trainees opting for higher studies such as diploma and degree courses in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
As per information available, a total of 6.43 lakh persons are trained since inception i.e. 2009-10 till 31st October, 2025 and more than 84000 are placed.
All the Government and empanelled institutes advertise the training programs through various channels before conducting the training. This is an effective instrument for reaching a diverse group of candidates, including women and youth from tribal areas.
