AMARAVATI, India, June 17 -- Andhra Pradesh High Court issued the following order on May 14:
1. This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following prayer:
"...pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the official respondents in interfering between the petitioner and the unofficial respondent is arbitrary, illegal, capricious and violative of fundamental rights guaranteed under Art.14, 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere in any manner with the life and limb of the petitioner except due process of law and pass such other orders ..."
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the writ petition was filed against the inaction of the respondent authorities in not registering crime number pursuant to complaint. However, after filing of the present writ petition, the police authorities have registered the crime. Hence, nothing survives for adjudication and the relief has become infructuous in this matter.
3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents is in attendance.
4. Recording the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
