AMARAVATI, India, March 2 -- Andhra Pradesh High Court issued the following order on Jan. 30:
1. This Contempt Case is filed against the respondents complaining willful disobedience of the order, dated 21.01.2003 passed by this Court in W.P.M.P.No.1363 of 2003 in W.P.No.1093 of 2003.
2. It appears that at the stage of admission, the Division Bench of this Court passed an interim order as extracted hereinunder:-
"There shall be an interim direction to the respondents not to make any appointment to the post sought for by the petitioner, if not already made.
Notice"
3. During the course of hearing of this Contempt Case, learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that after detailed hearing, the said Writ Petition was dismissed by the Division Bench of this Court vide order, dated 23.08.2023.
4. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner to submit the subsequent developments happened during pendency of the Writ Petition. However, considering the fact that the main Writ Petition itself has been dismissed, in our view, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt Case.
5. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is dismissed.
6. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this case shall stand closed.
