AMARAVATI, India, June 17 -- Andhra Pradesh High Court issued the following order on May 14:

1. This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following prayer:

"......to issue a Writ Order direction particularly, one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of Respondent No.3 without any authority of law, has been repeatedly calling the petitioner to the police station and making her sit there for prolonged hours without the registration of any crime, any reason or justification. The said actions are arbitrary, illegal, and violative of Articles 14,19 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondent No.3 police authorities not to call the petitioner unnecessarily to the police station without following due procedure established by the law and to pass such other orders"

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Sri Sanke Santhosh, learned Counsel, representing Sri Jada Sravan Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petition may be disposed of, since the relief has become infructuous in this matter.

3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents is in attendance.

4. Recording the above said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
