AMARAVATI, India, March 8 -- Andhra Pradesh High Court issued the following order on Feb. 5:
1. The above contempt case was filed complaining of the violation of the order dated 09.07.2024, passed in W.P.No.7266 of 2024.
2. Heard learned counsel appearing on both sides.
3. The petitioner filed the aforementioned writ petition to declare the action of the respondents in not settling the pension, gratuity, CVP and other retirement benefits. The writ petition was disposed of on 09.07.2024. The operative portion of said order reads as follows:
"Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conclude the inquiry in all respects and pass final orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that if the proceedings are not concluded within the said stipulated period, they will lapse automatically and no further proceedings shall be continued or taken against the petitioner. Depending on the order of the inquiry, the pension papers of the petitioner should be processed without further delay. No costs."
4. In the affidavit filed in support of the contempt case, it was pleaded that respondent No.2 has violated the order dated 09.07.2024.
5. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration. Smt. K. Swarna Seshu, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3 submitted the letter vide LrNo:PAG(A&E)/AP/P8/III/K-746/SP 994/2019-01/5444, dated 03.02.2026. Learned counsel for the petitioner endorses the same.
6. Given the letter dated 03.02.2026, this Court does not find any violation of the order dated 09.07.2024 passed in W.P.No.7266 of 2024, and accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. However, in case of any deviation vis-a-vis the benefits, it is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum. No order as to costs.
As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
