The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation , Government of India organized a one - day " All India Official Language Festival - 2026 " on 18th May , 2026 at A.P. Shinde Seminar Hall , NASC Complex , Pusa , New Delhi .
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Geeta Singh Rathore , Director General ( NSS ) . In her opening address , she highlighted the importance of the official language, Hindi, and stated that it is a powerful medium for simple and effective expression of thoughts and feelings . She also noted that in a multilingual country like India , Hindi plays an important role in strengthening national unity . She urged all participants to use Hindi more frequently in their daily official work .
इस अवसर पर महानिदेशक (सीएस), अपर सचिव, सांख्यिकी एवं कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय तथा मंत्रालय एवं क्षेत्र संकार्य प्रभाग के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। इस कार्यक्रम में क्षेत्र संकार्य प्रभाग के क्षेत्रीय कार्यालयों में पदस्थ कनिष्ठ अनुवाद अधिकारियों ने भी भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान राजभाषा हिंदी के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को अपने दैनिक कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के प्रयोग को बढ़ाने हेतु प्रेरित किया गया।
समारोह के अंतर्गत एक परिचर्चा सत्र का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें श्री श्याम सुंदर कथूरिया, निदेशक, कर्मचारी राज्य बीमा निगम (ESIC) ने राजभाषा हिंदी के संवर्धन हेतु संचालित विभिन्न योजनाओं एवं कार्यक्रमों की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के सहज एवं प्रभावी उपयोग के विभिन्न उपाय भी साझा किए। साथ ही, देश के तीनों राजभाषा क्षेत्रों का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे पैनल सदस्यों द्वारा उठाए गए विभिन्न मुद्दों एवं चुनौतियों के व्यावहारिक समाधान भी प्रस्तुत किए गए।
At the ceremony , all officers and employees were given the message that the official language , Hindi , connects the various regions of the country . Everyone was encouraged to maximize the use of the official language in their official work . Furthermore , officers and employees who lack a working knowledge of Hindi were encouraged to receive Hindi training . Furthermore , all regional offices were encouraged to promote Hindi work in their subordinate sub - regional offices and to make continuous efforts to promote the official language , Hindi .
