MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641101855 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on August 24, 2026, for Zonal Climate Risk Assessment System And Method.

Inventors include Mareeswari V; Prem Kumar; and Tusshar Prabhu Jacribettu.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a zonal climate risk assessment system (100) comprising a processor (226), a memory (228), a communication interface (230), a database (108), and a display device. The processor (226) receives a geographic location from a user device (102), resolves the geographic location into geographic coordinates, and obtains live climate data through the communication interface (230). The processor (226) generates a micro-zone grid, determines a deterministic zone seed for each geographic zone, derives climate signals, and determines zonal risk scores using the climate signals and adaptive weights stored in the database (108). The processor (226) normalizes and classifies the zonal risk scores and generates a geographic visualization. The processor (226) provides the risk information to a large language model (106) to generate a natural-language risk assessment and mitigation recommendations, and updates at least one adaptive weight based on user feedback for subsequent risk assessment.
