Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-component group-feeding system for small ruminants and a method for the same. The group-feeding system is a highly efficient system for precision feeding of multiple small ruminants at one time with multiple feed components i.e. straw, concentrate, green fodder and tree leaves without intermixing the components. The system allows goats to selectively consume feed according to their preferences, promoting natural feeding behaviour and improving overall animal welfare. A dedicated provision for offering tree leaves replicates browsing conditions, enhancing comfort and feed intake. Additionally, the feeder reduces the time and human resource involved in feeding goats at farm under stall feeding. The system further exhibits an efficient mechanism for collection and utilization or disposal of residual feed leading to zero feed waste.
