Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel professionally applied remineralizing fluoride gel formulation containing sodium fluoride, sodium trimetaphosphate (STMP), and xylitol. The formulation contains_approximately 1.1% sodium fluoride, providing approximately 5,000 ppm fluoride, together with 3% sodium trimetaphosphate and 10% xylitol incorporated into a neutral-pH thixotropic gel base. Sodium trimetaphosphate acts synergistically with fluoride to improve mineral deposition and increase enamel resistance to acid attack, thereby enabling enhanced remineralization despite a lower fluoride concentration. Xylitol contributes additional anticariogenic benefits while improving taste and patient compliance. The gel further comprises xanthan gum and Carbopol 934P to improve retention on tooth surfaces and maximize fluoride contact time. The invention provides a fluoride-sparing remineralization strategy suitable for professional use in pediatric and adult dental patients, combining enhanced efficacy, improved safety, and reduced fluoride burden.
