Abstract: A writing tool holding assistive device comprises of a U-shaped plate 101 to insert a cover of a book within plate 101, an imaging unit 102 installed over plate 101 determines thickness of book cover, a primary motorized drawer arrangement 103 integrated in plate 101 to contract plate 101, a motorized expandable clamp 104 attached with convex portion of plate 101 to engage a writing tool with clamp 104, an ultrasonic sensor integrated with plate 101 to monitor thickness of writing tool, a microphone 105 over plate 101 to receive voice command regarding requirement of writing tool, multiple motorized pop out balls 106 installed over inner periphery of clamp 104 to provide translation to writing tool, a weight sensor in clamp 104 to monitor weight of writing tool and an L-shaped pneumatic flap 107 attached with plate 101 to end and hold pages as engaged by user.
