Abstract: A wooden log cutting assistive device, comprising an elongated body 101 attached with a handle 102 gripped by user to position body 101 over a wooden log to be cut, a touch interactive display panel 103 installed over body 101 enable user to provide input regrading thickness of wooden plank to be cut from log, an extendable blade 104 configured with body 101 via a pair of telescopic links 105 regulating distance of blade 104 from body 101 as per user-specified thickness, an imaging unit 106 installed over body 101 and synced with a laser measurement sensor determines width of wooden log, a motorized drawer arrangement 107 integrated in the blade 104 to regulate length of the blade 104 in accordance with width of the wooden log for enabling the user to cut the plank from the log in accordance with the user-specified thickness.
