MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101141 A) filed by Aabid Hussain Shalla; Jawaaz Ahmad; and Design Innovation Centre, Islamic University Of Science And Technology on August 21, 2026, for Wireless Wearable Arm Band System For Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring And Precision Insulin Delivery.
Inventors include Aabid Hussain Shalla; and Jawaaz Ahmad.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless wearable arm band system (100) for continuous blood glucose monitoring and controlled insulin delivery. The system comprises a continuous glucose monitoring module (110) configured to sense glucose levels from interstitial fluid, an analog front-end signal conditioning module (130) for conditioning sensed signals, a processing and control unit (140) configured to analyze glucose data and compute insulin dosage parameters, and an insulin delivery module (150) for administering insulin based on the computed parameters. The system further includes a wireless communication subsystem (160), a power management unit (170), and a safety and alert module (210). The glucose monitoring module employs electrochemical sensing with nanostructured electrode elements and enzymatic layers, while insulin is delivered through a precision micro-delivery mechanism. All functional modules are integrated within a flexible, skin-conformal arm band structure adapted to be worn on an arm of a user. The invention provides a compact, low-power, and closed-loop wearable solution for improved diabetes management.
