Abstract: A power transmitter (101) wirelessly provides power to a plurality of power receivers (105) via an inductive power transfer signals. The power transmitter (101) comprises a power reserver (209) determining reserved power levels for power receivers. In response to receiving a power reservation request, the power reserver (209) proceeds to determine a combined reserved power level including the requested reserved power level and already reserved power levels; comparing the combined reserved power level to a maximum power level threshold; transmit a power reservation change request to an already supported power receiver (105) if the combined reserved power level exceeds the maximum power level threshold; and to reserve a reserved power level for the first power receiver (105) with this being dependent on the response to the power reservation change request received from the first supported power receiver (105).
