Abstract: Disclosed is a robotic arm apparatus comprising a base platform, serially connected arm links, rotational joints, and servo actuators coupled to the joints. A gripper supported by a terminal arm link has jaws movable by a gripper servo actuator between object-receiving and object-gripping positions. A wireless communication module receives movement commands from a wireless user device and supplies the commands to a controller. The controller converts the commands into pulse-width- modulated signals for selected servo actuators. In response, the selected servo actuators coordinately rotate adjacent arm links to position the gripper relative to an object, while the gripper servo actuator opens or closes the jaws to release or grip the object.
