Abstract: The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a wireless-communication system capable of transmitting a highly accurate mobile-station communication signal to a base station. A relay device 20-i has an amplification unit 21b and a pilot-monitoring control unit 22b therein. The pilot-monitoring control unit 22b detects signal strength of a mobile-station pilot signal included in a mobile-station communication signal and generates a gain control signal S2b indicating the signal strength of the mobile-station pilot signal. An amplifier 210b of the amplification unit 21b amplifies the mobile-station communication signal with a fixed amplification factor AK, and a variable-gain control unit 211b of the amplification unit 21b attenuates the mobile-station communication signal amplified by the amplifier 210b with a variable attenuation rate BK. The variable-gain control unit 211b determines the variable attenuation rate BK on the basis of the signal strength of the mobile-station pilot signal indicated by the gain control signal S2b. A base-station direction amplification factor CK for the mobile-station communication signal by the amplification unit 21b is {CK = AK × BK}.
