MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110688 A) filed by New Horizon College Of Engineering on September 15, 2026, for Wireless Charging Dock For Qi-Enabled Smartphone.

Inventors include M T Vasumathi; and V Asha.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The invention provides a wireless charging dock for a Qi-enabled smartphone that integrates a base, support structure, retaining member, power cable, and wireless charging transmitter coil within a compact charging arrangement. The support structure extends from the base and is configured to support the smartphone in an inclined position while maintaining the smartphone in a stable charging orientation. The wireless charging transmitter coil is positioned within the support structure and arranged to correspond with a wireless charging receiver coil of the Qi-enabled smartphone, thereby enabling wireless power transfer through electromagnetic coupling. The retaining member maintains the smartphone in a predetermined position relative to the transmitter coil to facilitate effective charging. The power cable supplies electrical power to the wireless charging transmitter coil for transferring power to the smartphone without requiring a physical charging connection between the smartphone and the dock. The proposed invention provides a convenient, stable, and space-efficient wireless charging arrangement for Qi-enabled smartphones.
