MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511019495 A) filed by Amity International School on March 04, 2025, for Wi-Fi Enhancer For Improved Connectivity And Signal Strength And Working Method Thereof.
Inventors include Chaitanya Bansal; and Aditya Shankar.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Wi-Fi enhancer for improved connectivity and signal strength and working method thereof. The invention comprises a parabolic reflector (1) configured for attachment to an external antenna (2) of a wireless router (3). The parabolic reflector (1) includes a focal point slot (4) for positioning the external antenna (2) and a reflective surface (5) formed by aluminum foil affixed to a cardboard substrate. The antenna (2) positioned at the focal point (4) enables radio waves emitted from the antenna to reflect from the reflective surface (5) and propagate substantially parallel to an axis of symmetry of the parabolic reflector (1), thereby enhancing directional signal transmission. Signal strength is measured in decibel-milliwatts (dBm) before and after installation using a wireless analysis application, demonstrating improvement from -43 dBm to -16 dBm at 3 meters and from -31 dBm to -13 dBm at 1 meter. The invention provides a cost-effective solution for improving Wi-Fi connectivity.
