Abstract: A wheel chair mobility assistive device for staircase, comprises of a pair of rectangular bodies 101 installed with a U-shaped inclined member 102, developed to be affixed with door frame, an imaging unit 108 for detecting exact location of wheels of wheel chair, a pair of hydraulic rods 104 configured with a pair of plates 103 via a pair of telescopically operated bars 105 to extend for aligning plates 103 in front of wheels, a pair of C-shaped motorized clamps 106 via a pair of motorized sliders 107 to accommodate the wheels on plates 103, a pair of motorized sliding units for translating rods 104 towards frame and position wheelchair near door frame, a motorized ball and socket joint for maintaining plates 103 in a parallel orientation with respect to ground surface, thus preventing misbalancing of the wheelchair.
