Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a weld traceability inspection apparatus comprising a guide track positioned beside a welded joint, a carriage movable along a weld path, an imaging assembly directed toward a weld surface, an illumination assembly, a position encoder, a marking outlet, a controller, and a signing-and-storage unit. The imaging assembly acquires overlapping image frames of the weld surface while the position encoder generates travel-position data corresponding to carriage movement. The controller correlates the overlapping image frames with the travel-position data, classifies a weld-surface region requiring secondary examination, and actuates the marking outlet to dispense removable visible marking material beside the weld surface. The signing-and-storage unit stores a signed inspection record including the image frames, travel-position data, classification result, and marking event associated with the weld-surface region.
