MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094227 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Weed Removal Device.

Inventors include Dr. Saurabh Chaitanya; Dr. Sachin Mohal; Rohit Singh; and Shivam Pandey.

Abstract: A weed removal device, comprising a telescopic rod 101 having a soft coating for enabling a user to acquire a grip, a motorized cutting blade 102 installed with the rod 101 for cutting weed, a cylindrical housing 103 disposed on an upper region of the rod 101, having a circular sliding unit 104 and a rectangular flap 105 configured with a drawer mechanism attached perpendicularly on the sliding unit 104, for shielding the user from a flinging weed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 installed on the housing 103 to determine a direction of flinging cut weed, a microphone 107 provided on the housing 103 for receiving an audio command from the user and a touch-enabled display 108 provided on the housing 103 for enabling the user to provide touch input regarding shielding from the flinging weed.
