Abstract: The present invention relates to a weather triggered smart curtain system designed to provide autonomous adjustment of curtains in response to real-time environmental conditions. The system comprises a microcontroller, a temperature sensor, a light dependent resistor (LDR) sensor, infrared (IR) sensors, a motor, and a motor driver. The microcontroller, preferably an ATMEGA328P mounted on an Arduino Uno development board, receives input from the temperature and LDR sensors to determine ambient conditions and from the IR sensors to detect the positional state of the curtain. Based on the processed data, the motor driver actuates the motor to open or close the curtains automatically. The invention eliminates the inconvenience of manual curtain operation, ensures optimum indoor lighting, thermal regulation, and privacy, and reduces reliance on artificial lighting and HVAC systems, thereby improving energy efficiency. The system is compact, cost-effective, universally compatible with different curtain types, and suitable for residential, commercial, and institutional applications.
