Abstract: A wearable transthoracic echocardiogram patch employing an ultrasound imager and a heart compression monitor. When the ultrasound imager is affixed to a thorax of a patient during a cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the patient, the ultrasound imager is operated to generate a series of ultrasound images of a compression of a heart structure of the patient during the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the patient, and the heat compression monitor is operated to derive a compression profile of the heart structure from the series of ultrasound images generated by the ultrasound imager during the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the patient. The heart structure may be a right ventricle or a left ventricle, and the compression profile may be derived from a perimeter, a volume, a pulse rate, a blood flow rate, a blood pressure level and/or an electrical activity level of the segmented heart structure.
