Abstract: Title: Wearable System for Real-Time Lower-Limb Kinematic and Gait Analysis The present invention discloses a wearable system for real-time lower-limb kinematic and gait analysis in the field of Biomedical Instrumentation using Inertial Measurement Units. The system comprises sensor placements (101) on a human subject and a plurality of wearable sensor nodes (102) configured to acquire inertial data and perform on-device computation of joint angles. The processed data are transmitted wirelessly to a receiver (103) and interfaced with a desktop application, namely GLAB Desktop (104). The application provides data logging (105) and real-time monitoring (106) of kinematic and gait parameters. The system computes joint angles using relative orientation and extracts spatio-temporal gait parameters using signal-based detection. The invention provides a modular, scalable, low-cost, and portable solution enabling real-time gait analysis outside laboratory environments.
