MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611099481 A) filed by Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur on August 18, 2026, for Wearable System For Monitoring Of Skin Inflammation.
Inventors include Shatakshi Kumari; and Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: 10 15 20 A system (100) and method for monitoring inflammatory biomarkers associated with skin inflammation. The system (100) comprises a wearable skin sensing patch (101), a skin-sensor interface layer (102), a microfluidic biofluid management network (103), a multiplex electrochemical sensor array (104), a signal acquisition and conditioning module (105), an edge processing unit (106), an embedded firmware module (107), a biomarker normalization engine (108), a data interface module (109), a power management subsystem (110), and a predictive flare-up analysis engine (111). The skin-sensor interface layer non-invasively collects skin derived biofluids, which are transported to the multiplex electrochemical sensor array for selective detection of inflammatory biomarkers. The biomarker normalization engine compensates for environmental and physiological variations to generate accurate biomarker concentration values. The predictive flare-up analysis engine analyses temporal biomarker trends to generate inflammation severity assessments, patient-specific inflammation profiles, and early prediction of inflammatory flare-up events, enabling continuous, real-time, personalized skin inflammation monitoring.
