MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611062167 A) filed by Chitkara University on May 15, 2026, for Wearable System For Early Disease Detection Through Breath Analysis.

Abstract: A wearable system for early disease detection through breath analysis, comprising a wearable band 101 is worn on a wrist region of a user, multiple physiological sensors monitors at least one or more vital signs of the user, a control unit for processing the monitored vital signs detects deviation from a pre-fed range for each corresponding vital signs, a haptic feedback unit 105 to prompt the user to provide a breath sample upon detection of an abnormal physiological condition, a forehead gear 201 is worn on a forehead region of the user, a mouthpiece 202 via a positioning unit 203 to deploy the mouthpiece 202 in close proximity to a mouth portion of the user, and a volatile organic compound (VOC) sensing array 204 detects breath-borne biomarkers, the control unit executes a breath analysis module processes the biomarkers to detect and classify at least one disease condition.
