MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094272 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Wearable Supporting Device For Differentially Abled Pets.

Abstract: A wearable supporting device for differentially abled pets comprises a cylindrical wearable 101 component having a pair of motorized winches 102 for tightening/loosening a strap coiled on the winches 102, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 determine positioning of disabled limb of the pet, a motorized sliding unit 105 to translate a pair of extendable rods 104 towards disabled limb of the pet, an ultrasonic sensor determining distance of lower portion of the body from ground surface, a sensing module monitoring weather conditions in surrounding of the component, plurality of motorized rollers 201 mounted on the component for unwrapping the evaluated fabric coiled on the rollers 201, an electromagnetically powered spring 107 integrated in between rods 104 and block 106 for absorbing any jerk experienced on the pet, plurality of extendable pins 108 integrated underneath the block 106 to allow the pet to comfortably move on the surface.
