MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078011 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on June 24, 2026, for Wearable Stress-Regulation Vest.

Inventors include Shridevi S; Prithivraj S; Lighittha P R; and Rucha H. Agnihotri.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: A wearable stress-regulation vest (100) encompasses a body-conforming vest structure (102) designed to help manage stress through controlled compression. Integrated within the vest structure (102) are inflatable air bladders (102A) that apply deep pressure to specific body regions, activated by a pneumatic actuation unit (104) which inflates or deflates them as needed. To personalize therapy, biosensors (102B) embedded in the vest structure (102) continuously monitor physiological stress indicators, sending data to a microcontroller (106). This microcontroller (106) interprets the signals and adjusts bladder (102A) inflation accordingly, ensuring the wearer receives the right level of compression. A pressure sensor (108) further enhances safety and precision by monitoring internal bladder pressure and providing feedback to the microcontroller (106), enabling closed-loop regulation. Together, these components create an intelligent, responsive tool that adapts in real time to the wearer stress levels, offering a calming, body-conforming solution for stress regulation through dynamic compression therapy.
