MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096192 A) filed by Banasthali Vidyapith on August 09, 2026, for Wearable Sensor-Based Human Activity Recognition System.

Inventors include Aishvarya Garg; Swati Nigam; and Rajiv Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a wearable sensor-based human activity recognition system comprising a wearable device set and a processor unit. The wearable device set comprises at least one wearable device worn on a body portion of a user. The wearable device comprises a sensor housing and a sensor unit disposed within the sensor housing. The sensor unit comprises a tri-axial accelerometer, a tri-axial gyroscope, and a tri-axial magnetometer to generate multi-axis time-series sensor data for motion of the body portion. The processor unit receives the multi-axis time-series sensor data, forms temporal frames, derives local temporal feature data and global feature data, generates residual attention feature data, generates local prediction probabilities and global prediction probabilities, combines the prediction probabilities through weighted decision fusion, selects a final human activity recognition result, and renders the result on an activity output interface.
