Abstract: The Wearable Seizure Alert System is a compact, body-worn electronic device designed to detect abnormal physiological patterns associated with epileptic seizures and immediately transmit alerts to caregivers or medical personnel. The system integrates multiple biosensors, including a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and skin temperature sensor, to continuously monitor vital signs and body movements. Advanced signal processing and embedded algorithms analyze collected data in real time to identify seizure-related anomalies such as rapid muscle contractions, sudden falls, abnormal heart rhythms, and elevated skin temperature. Upon detection of a suspected seizure event, the device activates a multi-mode alert mechanism that includes an audible alarm, vibration notification, and wireless transmission of emergency messages via Bluetooth or GSM module to predefined contacts. The alert message may include the user's geographic location using an integrated GPS module. The device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and designed for low energy consumption to enable extended usage. Its lightweight and ergonomic structure allows comfortable daily wear in the form of a wristband or arm strap. The proposed system enhances patient safety by enabling early detection and rapid response, reducing the risk of injury or unattended medical emergencies. It is suitable for children and adults diagnosed with epilepsy and can also assist healthcare providers in monitoring seizure frequency and patterns for clinical assessment.
