MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113702 A) filed by Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College; R. Kingsy Grace; and M. Agilan on September 23, 2026, for Wearable Safety System For Generating Real-Time Proximity Alerts To A Worker In Risk Zones.
Inventors include R. Kingsy Grace; M. Agilan; S. Aswanth; and T. Dharshini.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A wearable safety system 100 is provided for generating real-time proximity alerts to workers in risk zones. The system includes a central processing unit 102, a 24 GHz millimeter-wave (mmWave) sensor 104 for continuous motion monitoring, and a three-axis magnetic field sensor 106 for measuring flux density. The central processing unit executes instructions to compute a baseline magnetic field value during initialization. To optimize power, the magnetic sensor remains in a low-power state until the mmWave sensor detects movement. Upon detection, the magnetic sensor transitions to an active state to capture real-time flux data. The system determines a magnetic disturbance magnitude by comparing this data against the baseline. The moving object is classified as either a biological human entity or a metallic vehicle based on a predefined threshold. A real-time proximity alert 110 and visual alert interface 108 are selectively activated only when a metallic vehicle is identified. This system provides warnings independent of external lighting conditions or vehicle-mounted infrastructure. FIG. 1
