MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621083641 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research Bhopal on July 07, 2026, for Wearable Predictive Health-Monitoring Wristband.
Inventors include Chatterjee, Sunetra; Agarwal, Akshay; and C, Vishal.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: A wearable predictive health-monitoring wristband (100) incorporates a multi-sensor array (102), continuously collects diverse physiological, biochemical, thermal, neural, motion, sleep, and stress signals from user-skin contact. These signals are processed by sensor fusion and pre-processing module (104) for synchronization, artifact removal, filtering, normalization, compression, and encryption. An edge AI local analyzer (106) compares signals against personalized baselines, detects anomalies, forecasts short-term trends, and predicts illness-associated patterns, including abdominal discomfort sources, hours to days before symptoms appear. An alert engine (108) classifies outputs into informational, warning, or urgent categories, triggering vibration, LED, and notification alerts while ensuring privacy-preserving local analysis. A communication interface (110) securely transmits encrypted data, alerts, and predictive outputs via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, while a user interface (112) displays alerts, health timelines, visualizations, and recommendations, and accepts user annotations. Together, these components enable continuous, non-invasive monitoring and early detection of stress, dehydration, fatigue, chemical imbalance, and disease-related deviations.
