Abstract: The present invention relates to wearable maternal safety and health-monitoring systems, particularly a belt for a pregnant user. The system comprises a belt body with an inner body-facing layer, an outer protective layer, and a fastening arrangement; a sensor module including an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a heart rate sensor, and a piezoelectric fetal movement trend sensor; a processing unit; an airbag protection module having inflatable chambers, a gas inflator system, a trigger mechanism, and gas routing passages; a communication module; a power module; a pre-deployment warning interface; and a user override control. The processing unit performs calibrated monitoring, detects a fall based on a predefined temporal sequence of free-fall, impact, rotational instability, and post-impact immobility conditions, initiates a warning and allows user cancellation, inflates the chambers for abdominal and hip protection upon absence of cancellation, and transmits emergency and physiological data to external recipients.
