MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641075608 A) filed by Hariharasudhan Ravichandran on June 18, 2026, for Wearable-Integrated Sensor System For Monitoring Physical Activity And Athletic Potential Prediction System For School Children.
Inventor includes Hariharasudhan Ravichandran.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a wearable-integrated monitoring and predictive analytics system for assessment of physical activity, sedentary behaviour, physiological exertion, and athletic potential among school children. The system comprises a wearable sensor device including a tri-axial accelerometer and optical physiological sensor, a Bluetooth Low Energy communication module, a centralized mobile synchronization platform, a cloud-based encrypted storage architecture, a analytics engine, and an athletic potential prediction module. The wearable device continuously captures movement and physiological data which are synchronized to a centralized platform and processed using signal filtering, epoch conversion, physical activity classification, and predictive analytics algorithms. The analytics engine derives parameters including step count, moderate-to-vigorous physical activity duration, sedentary bout frequency, activity fragmentation index, weekly activity consistency score, and physiological exertion distribution. The invention further integrates wearable-derived physical activity metrics with field-based fitness assessment variables including aerobic endurance, sprint speed, agility, and explosive power to generate a composite Athletic Potential Index (API). The invention enables scalable school-level physical activity surveillance and objective early identification of athletic potential using wearable-integrated predictive analytics.
