Abstract: Wearable healthcare technologies have emerged as an important component of modern medical systems by enabling continuous monitoring of physiological parameters outside conventional clinical settings. System-on-Chip (SoC) technology integrates sensing, processing, memory, communication, and power-management functions within a compact platform, making wearable devices more efficient and portable. The proposed wearable health monitoring system is designed to acquire, process, store, and transmit physiological signals such as heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen saturation, and physical activity. Continuous monitoring allows early detection of abnormalities and supports timely medical intervention. Wireless communication enables remote access to health information through smartphones, cloud platforms, and healthcare portals. The system is particularly beneficial for elderly individuals, patients with chronic illnesses, and populations residing in remote locations. This paper discusses the architecture, hardware and software components, operating principles, applications, advantages, challenges, expected performance, and future prospects of wearable health monitoring systems based on SoC technology.
