Abstract: A wearable head-mounted device for continuous mental state monitoring and adaptive cognitive regulation, comprising a wearable member 101 adapted to be worn by a user on a head of a user , a dual-axis slider 201 to translate and position at least three linear actuators 202 at appropriate positions, the actuators 202 extend to position EEG electrodes 204 on predetermined scalp regions for continuous acquisition of electroencephalographic (EEG) signals, a psychological and behavioral monitoring module for continuously acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting behavioral, contextual, social interaction, and physiological indicators of the user, a machine learning module for continuously processing neurological, behavioral, contextual, and physiological data, and a projection unit 106 to generate adaptive cognitive regulation stimuli within a surrounding field of the user, for providing immersive visual and motivational intervention upon detection of depressive indicators.
