The method for displaying a GUI by a wearable electronic device may comprise: an operation of displaying a first GUI on a main display area of the wearable electronic device; an operation of receiving a first user input of multi-touching a sub-display area corresponding to a band part of the wearable electronic device; an operation of receiving a second user input of moving the multi-touch while the multi-touch is maintained; an operation of determining whether the wearable electronic device is rotated while the second user input is received; and an operation of changing the display of the first GUI when it is determined that the wearable electronic device is rotated.
