Abstract: ABSTRACT A wearable biomechanical monitoring insole system comprises a flexible substrate housing plantar pressure sensor arrays and a nine-axis inertial measurement unit. The system integrates an embedded microcontroller executing bilateral wireless synchronization for time-synchronized data acquisition between paired insoles, terrain-adaptive filtering adjusting signal processing based on surface conditions, and center-of-pressure tracking calculating real-time balance metrics. A biomechanics analytics engine performs gait event detection, bilateral asymmetry quantification, fatigue monitoring, and injury risk assessment. Wireless interfaces transmit data to mobile devices and cloud platforms. An energy-harvesting layer comprising piezoelectric and triboelectric generators converts foot strike energy into electrical power with power management circuitry for battery charging, extending operational duration for athletic monitoring.
