MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101504 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 22, 2026, for Wearable-Based Artificial Intelligence System For Personalized Adaptive Yoga Training Using Transfer Learning.

Inventors include Raghav Mehra; Lakshay Raina; and Priyansh Mangesh Kale.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a wearable-based artificial intelligence system (100) for personalized and adaptive yoga training. The system (100) comprises an articulated mannequin (101a–101d, 102a–102d) representing a user fitted with wearable IMU sensor modules (103, 104), a sensor hub/control unit (105a, 106a) including communication interfaces (105b, 106b) and a controller (107, 108), a real-time posture analysis display (109), a haptic feedback displays (110), and yoga mats (111a, 111b). Biomechanical and motion data captured by the wearable sensors are processed using a transfer learning-based artificial intelligence engine to generate a personalized biomechanical model through few-shot calibration. The controller (107, 108) dynamically adjusts posture evaluation thresholds, correction sensitivity, and feedback parameters based on anatomical characteristics and historical performance, while continuously refining guidance through longitudinal learning memory to deliver adaptive visual, audio, and haptic feedback for safe, accurate, and personalized yoga training across wellness, rehabilitation, and preventive healthcare applications.
