MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611067790 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University on May 29, 2026, for Wearable Air Purifying Device.
Inventors include Dr. Priyanka; Dr. Puneeta Vohra; Dr. Bhawna Saini; and Dr. Komal Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A wearable air purifying device, comprising an air purifier housing 101 coupled to a wearable chain 102 to be worn around the neck, a plurality of air intake vents 103 to allow air intake for purification, an air outlet nozzle 104 to create a localized clean air current, a sensor unit 201 to monitor the environmental air condition, a plurality of suction fans 207 to increase intake airflow based on air quality measured by the sensor unit 201, a multi-stage filtration module to filer the intake air for delivery to the user, an electrostatic ionization unit 212 with a plurality of high-voltage electrodes 213 and a pair of collector plates 214 to generate negative ions to charge airborne contaminants, enabling the oppositely charged collector plates 214 to capture the contaminants, and a detachable mask 105 to wear upon detection of the contamination levels exceeding a predefined threshold.
