Abstract: Abstract Wear-state-aware multimodal physiological monitoring system with signal reliability assessment A wear-state-aware multimodal physiological monitoring system for a wearable neck-region accessory is disclosed. The system comprises physiological sensing elements for acquiring temperature, cardiovascular, and electrodermal information, contextual sensing elements for obtaining motion, contact, position, orientation, or wearing-condition information, and a processing unit. The processing unit determines a wear state and assesses reliability of acquired physiological signals based on contextual conditions and signal-quality parameters. Physiological measurements are selectively validated according to determined reliability conditions before multimodal cross-sensor assessment. Reliability-qualified measurements may further be compared with a user-specific physiological baseline to distinguish physiologically meaningful variations from variations associated with motion, sensor displacement, inadequate contact, or unreliable acquisition. The system generates a reliability-qualified physiological or wellness indication and communicates the indication to an external computing device or remote monitoring platform, thereby improving reliability of continuous wearable physiological monitoring.
