MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617059696 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation on May 11, 2026, for Waste Plastic Treatment Facility And Waste Plastic Treating Method.
Inventors include Ishigaki Fumihiko; Sekiya Masahiro; Harada Tsubasa; Yoshino Hiroyuki; Tsutsumi Takeshi; and Watanabe Masahiko.

Abstract: This waste plastic treatment facility comprises: a wind power sorting device (10) to which waste plastic is supplied; a means (20) for agglomerating waste plastic separated as low-density objects in the wind power sorting device (10); and a coke oven (30) into which the agglomerated waste plastic and waste plastic separated as high-density objects in the wind power sorting device (10) are charged and which thermally decomposes the waste plastics.
