MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531029379 A) filed by Arka Jain University, Jharkhand on March 27, 2025, for Waste Collecting Assistive Device For Elevated Surface.
Inventor includes Dr. Ankita Singh.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A waste collecting assistive device for elevated surface, comprising an elongated extendable body 101 designed to collect waste from elevated surfaces having proximal and distal end, wherein a handle 102 attached with the proximal end to allow the user to grip the handle 102 to place it near to the surface, an artificial intelligence- based imaging unit 103 to monitor the distance of the surface from the distal end via a proximity sensor, a laser measurement sensor to measure the dimensions of the waste, a motorized C-shaped clamps 107 with a pair of lead screw arrangements 105 allowing for precise translation and adjustment, a confocal sensor for monitoring the thickness of the waste, a PIR sensor for determining presence of any living animal near to the user, a speaker 108 to notify the user about the living animal and a corrosion sensor to determine presence of corrosion over the metallic surface.
