MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126979 A) filed by Bapatla Surendra Babu; and Irukumalli Priyanka on October 25, 2026, for Wall-Climbing Apparatus With Liquid-Filled Spring-Expanded Suction Cells On A Track And Motion- Only Venting.

Inventors include Bapatla Surendra Babu; and Irukumalli Priyanka.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: WALL-CLIMBING APPARATUS WITH LIQUID-FILLED SPRING-EXPANDED SUCTION CELLS ON A TRACK AND MOTION-ONLY VENTING A wall- climbing apparatus (100) carries suction cells (106) on the links of an endless track (104). Each cell has a sealed chamber filled with a liquid, a piston biased by a spring to enlarge it, a latch and a vent. A firing station releases the latch at a distance x_f from the touchdown point of the rim, with p = x_f = 0.40 * L_e, so that each cell fires only after its link lies flat and enough fired cells hold the apparatus. The vent opens only at a vent station while the track moves, so every stop, including loss of power, leaves the engaged cells clamped. A recharge station re-compresses the springs from the drive, and check valves isolate each cell. Modelling predicts a moving safety factor of 1.43 and a 42-minute hold after power loss. FIG. 1
