Abstract: ABSTRACT Our Invention Is a WAKE UP INTERACTIVE ALARM: The Wake up Interactive Alarm (CT-PR-0186) is implemented across three integrated development packages, described below in functional terms. Electronics and Firmware Package: A wireless- enabled microcontroller handles alarm logic, real-time clock synchronization, display output, audible alerting, analog contact sensing for the wire maze, local keypad input, and integrated illumination control. Power is supplied via a rechargeable secondary cell with charge management circuitry and unidirectional power gating to ensure seamless failover from external to internal power. Mobile Application Package: A mobile application communicating via short-range wireless protocol provides alarm scheduling (multiple time slots), difficulty selection (multiple levels), time synchronization, and status monitoring. All application-based control commands are programmatically blocked once the alarm state is active. Mechanical Package: A desktop enclosure houses the conductive wire maze, the wand with interchangeable loop connectors of varying diameters, a recessed emergency override switch accessible only via a narrow tool, and the internal power cell compartment. The Wake up Interactive Alarm represents a novel intersection of behavioural science, cognitive neuroscience, and embedded hardware design. By enforcing deactivation through a physically and cognitively demanding challenge — and rendering all software bypass pathways inoperative — the invention addresses a fundamental and longstanding deficiency in alarm clock design. His device is uniquely effective at stimulating physiological arousal, overcoming sleep inertia, and activating the attentional and executive cognitive systems required for productive morning function. Its tamper-resistant architecture, modular difficulty system, and automatic dark-room illumination feature further distinguish it from all known prior art.
