MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611014097 A) filed by Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology on February 09, 2026, for Vision Enhancement System Using Generative Ai For Variable Haze Conditions.

Inventor includes Dr. Satbir Singh.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides vision enhancement system using generative AI for variable haze conditions. It comprises a vehicle-mounted camera 101 capture real- time images or video of the driving environment; an onboard processing unit comprising a GPU or neural processing engine. The said invention provides multiple trained AI models, each being a conditional generative adversarial network (C-GAN) specialized for dehazing images corresponding to a particular haze intensity level, including light haze, moderate haze, or heavy haze; wherein each C-GAN model is labeled and stored in a repository. A touchscreen panel 102 mounted on the vehicle’s dashboard, configured to allow the user (driver) to manually select a desired haze level or corresponding dehazing model, wherein panel presents recommended model suggestions based on environmental sensors and said model being updated via cloud server. Additionally, said system enables real-time dehazing of images under varying haze conditions by allowing the user to switch between models on demand, improving visibility and safety during driving.
