Abstract: ABSTRACT Visually impaired individuals often face challenges in understanding their surroundings, identifying hazards, accessing textual information, and navigating independently using conventional assistive technologies. Existing systems primarily focus on object detection or text recognition and generally lack contextual understanding, memory-assisted perception, and interactive user assistance. The present invention, Vision Aura, proposes an AI-enabled smart-glass assistive system that captures real-time visual information through an embedded camera and processes the data using image preprocessing, object detection, optical character recognition (OCR), spatial analysis, contextual reasoning, and temporal memory modules. The system identifies objects, extracts textual information, interprets environmental context, analyzes spatial relationships, and detects potential hazards to generate meaningful guidance and safety recommendations. A temporal memory mechanism stores and retrieves previously observed information to support continuity in environmental understanding and memory-assisted navigation. The invention further enables users to interact through spoken queries and receive context-aware audio responses based on real-time observations and stored contextual information. Processed information is converted into speech through a Text-to-Speech (TTS) mechanism and delivered as real-time audio feedback. By integrating contextual reasoning, temporal memory, hazard interpretation, and conversational voice interaction within a smart-glass platform, the invention enhances situational awareness, navigation assistance, safety, accessibility, and independence for visually impaired individuals.
