Abstract: In this invention, we disclose an AI-Powered Smart Academic Assistant that utilizes camera and microphone hardware to increase productivity for students in their academic studies. The Smart Academic Assistant includes computer vision capabilities to assist with verifying true engagement of the student during study sessions by providing an engagement score based on the amount of engagement exhibited during a study period. Additionally, the Smart Academic Assistant provides a voice- activated engine for assisting students in solving any questions they may have related to their uploaded academic documents using a hands-free method of interaction. The combination of the integrated hardware/A.I. greatly enhances students ability to stay focused on their academics, accurately track their academic progress, and increase the ability to engage in an interactive learning environment.
