Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicular air dryer (10), comprising a dryer inlet (11) configured to receive air from a compressor discharge line (31), a dryer outlet (12) configured to supply dried air, a dryer exhaust (18), a desiccant cartridge (13a) connected or connectable to the dryer inlet (11) via an inlet line (14a) and to the dryer outlet (12) via an outlet line (15a), the desiccant cartridge (13a) being configured to be selectively operated in a drying mode and in a regeneration mode, wherein in the drying mode, the desiccant cartridge (13a) is configured to receive and dry the air from the dryer inlet (11) and to provide the dried air for outputting via the dryer outlet (12), and in the regeneration mode, the desiccant cartridge (13a) is configured to receive and humidify regeneration air from the outlet line (15a) and/or from a regeneration port (16a, 16b) via a regeneration line (17a, 17b, 17c) and to vent humidified regeneration air via the dryer exhaust (18), wherein the vehicular air dryer (10) comprises at least two regeneration lines (17a, 17b, 17c) and wherein the vehicular air dryer (10) is configured to provide a variable amount of regeneration air to the desiccant cartridge (13a) operated in the regeneration mode by selectively providing the regeneration air to the desiccant cartridge (13a) via at least one of the regeneration lines (17a, 17b, 17c).
